This Job is all in our hands, we can choose from three different jobs that each reward a unique New Years Bonus! Here are the Jobs :
From The "Steal a Shipment of Champagne" Job, we'll get :

Master your job and you'll receive a rare item as your reward!

How the Gift Safe House Works
Ask your mafia for gifts. When they respond to your gift requests, you'll receive gift boxes filled with Limited Edition loot and some will even contain a ticket to win an Xbox 360 or Mafia Wars jacket. You can open 10 gifts on December 25th and 5 gifts every subsequent day for free until all your gifts are opened. Or pay 2 Reward Points per gift to open your gift early. The Gift Safe House opens December 21st and you can continue to ask for gifts until January 3rd.
You can ask 24 gifts each day and for every 10 gifts you received , you'll get a mastery reward.
If you send your mafia a gifts you'll get a bonus
My suggestion : take the XP Bonus, it's much worth..

Yes... Zynga give us the "Fights Loot" back... along with the "Secret Stash" too... !!!
Beside that, there are several updates and bug fixes was made by Zynga.
Here is their updates :
Updates- Re-enabled loot drops for fights
- Disabled money laundering re-posts
- Removed pop-up for job help when nobody helped
- Temporarily Removed Top Families (Overall Leaderboards)
Bug Fixes- Fixed issues with accepting and sending gifts for new gifts (old gifts might still have issues)
- Fixed issues with Moscow chapter progression
- Fixed issues with Moscow jobs page not loading for some users
- Fixed the scrolling issue with the Game News page
- Fixed commenting on job help posts.
- Fixed the issue some users were facing with the My Mafia page not loading correctly
Well... this is a good news for us.. fella... lets kick some bullie now..

Yo.. yo.. yo.. Mafia Fella, check this out, it seems that zynga want to redeem all their sins...
They're organizing a new event called "MAFIA WARS HOLIDAY WEEK" Starting on Friday, December 18th at 12:01am PT and continuing through December 24th at 11:59pm PT.
During this week, there will be a featured job entitled, "Bring the Family Together" where we'll be awarded with a special holiday item for each stage of the job we complete and a mastery item if we're able to successfully complete our mission.
Also they're introducing the "Gift Safe House", our secret location to get mystery gift boxes stuffed with free limited edition items. Some gift boxes will even contain a ticket to win a real Xbox 360 or an exclusive Mafia Wars jacket! Simply ask your mafia to fill your safe house with gifts and if your mafia is truly loyal to you, they'll help you out. Who knows? There might even be something in it for them too!
Finally, if that wasn't enough for you, starting Tuesday, December 22nd at 12:01am PT and going till Monday December 28th at 11:59pm PT, zynga will also be conducting a Holiday Blowout Sale in similar fashion to Black Friday sale, where we can buy limited edition loot, boosts, and consumables.
Well.. let's hope all this planned run smoothly.. without any BUG's.. Bad Glitches.. loosing a number of mafia... white screen error... ect.. so just GET READY...

This is far below my expectations

But it's still benefit for young mafia I guess... so just enjoy it..
